Adobe Bridge Tips,Techniques,
and Resources

An edited compendium of the best tips, white papers and tutorials for Adobe CS2 Bridge, the hub of the Creative Suite 2.

The "Bridge" is Adobe's stand-alone application that serves as a central hub for the Creative Suite 2. It's the old Photoshop File Browser, extended to every program in the Suite and even those not in the suite. Bridge comes with every standalone CS2 program, but if you have the full Suite, it has some extra features. (See a comparison chart here.)

Best Ways to Get Help from Other Adobe Bridge Users

Adobe's User to User Forum for Bridge
Here is where the cognoscenti have gathered to hash out issues with Adobe's first release of the Bridge software. Whether it's running too slow, a feature is eluding you or you just want to suggest a fix, this the first place to go. The forum has sub-sections for Bridge scripting and platform-specific issues as well. If you're not registered with the forums, you can still log in as a guest if all you want to do is read the posts; you'll need to register (free) if you want to post your own.

The Product Manager for Adobe Bridge, Gunar Penikis, passes along some great Bridge tips and links inside his blog. For example, he posted links to a Mac Automator action and a Windows Registry mod that will add a "Reveal in Bridge" contextual menu when you right-click a file in the Finder or Explorer.
