Anne-Marie,
I learned InCopy initially by simply using it (with some help from my co-workers, who have been using it for some years). I have been using InCopy in my job for over a year and a half now, but did not have any formal training in it until last month. We went through your video training, and I found it very helpful. I had been functioning successfully in InCopy for some time, so I already knew many of the basic features. However, I learned a lot of new things that have significantly improved my efficiency as an InCopy user. The quick-apply, tracking changes, and notes features, as well as various shortcuts, were among the most helpful things I learned. The overview of how InCopy and InDesign work was also very clarifying for me. Thank you for providing such excellent helps and "secrets" for InCopy users like me!

Anne-Marie,
After going through your entire InCopy tutorials over the three-day Memorial Weekend (and by this you can tell I am the owner of our
publishing company) I set up and converted our entire 7-member team to use InCopy on Tuesday morning. By noon I had people up and running. I'm writing this on Wednesday. Deadline for the next issue of /LensWork /is in 10 days. Yes, we are brave, but confident.
To a person, everyone loves InCopy and can't believe we spent all those years with Word imports and guessing our word counts and column inches. It took folks about 30 minutes to see the advantages -- not only for Word, but also for breaking up our high end, duotone photograph workflow. The advantages of the parallel workflow are a Godsend. I am not exaggerating when I say that we have leapt four days ahead in our production schedule in the last 48 hours.
Thanks for such a great tutorial that gave me a thorough understanding of the InCopy/InDesign workflow -- and the confidence to plow ahead with it unhesitatingly.
For the past couple years I've had the pleasure of introducing the InCopy workflow en masse in public seminars. I've assembled some of the slides I use to introduce the concept to the attendees. They clearly lay out the advantages and the "challenges" of moving to this workflow, and "Essential Set-up Steps."
